This area has long been associated with farming and orchards, and even though the city is rapidly approaching, there are still a number of farms, farmlets and hobby farms in the area.  Many of the people who farm here in this day and age are interested in exploring alternative methods of growing, so you will quite often see organic foods available, or perhaps some more unusual produce. Look for farm gate sales to enjoy the freshest of fresh food at great prices.
