Location: Fre-Jac is right in the centre of Balingup.  Drive into town on South West Highway and look for the turn-off to Forrest St- left if driving north and right if driving south.  The Village Green is on the south corner of Forrest St and South West Highway.

Description: Bonjour! You will certainly receive a warm welcome from owners Roselyne and Jean Marie. After finding the perfect setting in Balingup it is here they decided to set up their charming French Restaurant Fre-Jac with the attached bakery. What better way to enjoy the beautiful surroundings than with a chocolate croissant and a coffee—maybe even learn a little French too!

Bringing with them a slice of Paris, the restaurant offers classic dishes with only the best French ingredients mixed with seasonal local produce.

Roselyne revises the menu regularly, keeping some dishes as they are sacred. Regular customers love the “Escargots de Bourgogne” (snails cooked in butter and garlic), the confit de canard (from Peujurd) and crème brulee. The adjacent garden is an ideal escape for couples, families and groups alike. A 3 course meal costs approx $40 and with the benefit of BYO, you can enjoy an authentic a la carte French meal with a drop of wine from the local award-winning vineyards.

The bakery is open from 7:30am for its continental breakfast until 6pm when the restaurant then opens its doors at 6:30pm-late.

Roselyne and Jean Marie are totally professional and flexible, so much so they will satisfy requests for special meals and functions, even to the extent of opening Tuesday and Wednesday.
