It is difficult to write anything about Dardanup and the Ferguson Valley without mentioning the attraction that has achieved iconic status in the area- Gnomesville.  Whilst the origin of this unique ‘townsite’ is unknown, the collection of garden gnomes and the clever and pithy notices that embellish them just keeps on growing.  A visit to this place is sure to delight adults and children alike.

Set, as it is in the foothills, Dardanup is also blessed with some wonderful forest scenery and activities.  Walk trails have been developed at Crooked Brook Forest for those who love a walk through the bush, and these trails have been set up especially with the disabled and elderly in mind.  The trails are great to explore at any time of the year, and in the springtime, are a great guide to finding patches of colourful wildflowers.

Then in the Wellington Forest, the Wellington Discovery trail enables the visitor to find out how the forest works- and while in the area, don’t forget to take a visit to the King Jarrah Tree- a truly magnificent plant that has been around for more years than one would care to imagine.
