Harvey - Brittany Fairy Ball
The Brittany Fairy Ball is an annual event held at the Harvey Recreation & Cultural Centre, Tom Latch Drive Harvey. This event is held in honour of local Harvey girl, Brittany Headley who developed acute myeloid leukemia at the eight years of age.
Despite this severe illness and the subsequent debilitating treatment, Brittany's thoughts were for others and from her hospital room, she made and sold patty cakes for the benefit of other sick kids.
Brittany lost her battle with cancer on December 4, 2001, but her work and life is recognized annually by the Brittany Fairy Ball.
This year this special event will be held on June 2nd, from 7pm until late, and this is a perfect opportunity to dust off your formal gear and get dressed up to the nines!!!
Tickets $50 per person are available from Harvey Street Wear & Surf, Harvey. PH: 9729 1199
Bookings for tables of 10 can be made.
