Kirup
This tiny town is well known in Western Australian circles - it seems whenever the town name is mentioned, someone fires back with “Kirup syrup”- for those not in the know, this interestingly named drink has become legend in the West and is associated with a great number of stories. To learn about the legend, you will have to visit Kirup and ask around!
Whilst Kirup may be known for this drink, the town is also famous for its local produce, being firmly fixed in the centre of the fruit growing area of the South West, and also for its lovely scenery and rural atmosphere.
There are many scenic drives to enjoy in the region and you will also see a number of wineries and cellar door sales that are worth a visit.
In wildflower season, you will be able to see some lovely displays of our native plants as you enjoy the scenery.
